When Stockton Police Department posted his mugshot on their Facebook page two years ago, it shot Jeremy Meeks to fame, with his piercing blue eyes and chiselled cheek bones gaining him the nickname of America’s “hottest felon”.

Now, Mr Meeks has totally turned his life around, after being released from jail in March last year. After receiving modelling offers, Mr Meeks has been showing off images of his new life, posing in front of a mansion with a $125,000 Maserati parked outside.

He was jailed for 27 months in 2015 for the illegal possession of firearms and amunition as well as carrying a loaded firearm in public and engaging in criminal street gang activity. He was brought up in a household without much money and became embroiled in a life of crime with the Northern Crips, part of the notorious Los Angeles gang.

Crackdown on gangs

He was arrested in 2014 as part of a crackdown on gangs being carried out by Stockton police officers. Married to nurse Melissa, he signed with the talent agency White Cross Management last year when he was released from jail and his new manager Jim Jordan says he has had offers from across the globe.

However, Mr Jordan added that Mr Meeks was a humble, soft spoken family man, who was nothing like the hard man of his image. He is now raking in a huge salary after launching a very successful modelling career.

The 32 year old has been keeping his legions of fans updated about his new life, in a series of images of him in front of a mansion and with the supercar, as well as posing with his wife and children. He has captioned the images: “Good to be home,” and “God is good.” While he has not totally transformed his life, if it was not for that police mugshot, he could still have been living a life of crime.
