Michael Buble’s son comes home for Christmas as he fights liver cancer

Crooner Michael Bublé has revealed that his little boy will be able to be at home for Christmas with his family as he continues to battle liver cancer.

Noah, three, was diagnosed with cancer just a few weeks ago, leading to singing superstar Mr Bublé cancelling all engagements to be there for his son. He has now confirmed that Noah will be able to spend Christmas Day out of hospital.

While the family usually celebrate in Canada, they will be staying togeter in California, close to the hospital where Noah is having treatment. Mr Bublé and his actress wife Luisana Lopilato normally have the Christmas season together in their mansion in Vancouver, but they are now expected to spend the day in Los Angeles, where they are based while little Noah is in hospital.

Relatives are set to jet in to help the family to enjoy the festive season and to try to spend a day with worrying, at least for a few hours. Ms Lopilato’s brother Dario and her father Eduardo will be coming from Argentina to be with her mother Beatriz so they can help to put together a very special family celebration.

Liver biopsy

Ms Lopilato’s mother has not left her daughter and grandson’s side since Noah was first diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of November. A liver biopsy taken at a clinic in Buenos Aires was confirmed by medics in LA to be cancer, in a diagnosis which is every parent’s nightmare.

The little boy is understood to be facing four months of chemotherapy followed, potentially, by surgery to remove the tumour. However, he is said to be a little “warrior” and medics have given him a 90 per cent chance of beating the disease.

His parents announced his cancer diagnosis on Facebook, saying they were both putting everything on hold so they could devote all of their time and attention to helping little Noah become well again.
